Does Forewords work on iPhone?

Forewords is available on iPhone through the App Store and on Android through the Google Play Store.

The reason for shipping Android first: it’s where the original user (my wife, for whom I initially built Forewords) does her reading, and Google Play’s review mechanics are more flexible during the early launch period. iOS has full feature parity, not a stripped-down version.

Same app, same feature set: AI recommendations, per-trait rating tags, taste fingerprint, custom shelves, half-star ratings, barcode scanner, Goodreads / StoryGraph / CSV import, Plus subscription. The mobile codebase is React Native (Expo), so the iOS app is the same code as the Android app.

You can sign into the same account on iPhone that you use on Android, and everything syncs — library, ratings, taste profile, custom shelves — so switching platforms is friction-free. Android and iOS use the same backend.

Download Forewords from the App Store, sign in, and your reading data syncs through your Forewords account. The web AI tool remains available if you want to try recommendations before signing in.

Forewords is now public on iOS and Android. The next platform gap is the full web app: forewords.app handles import, export, account management, FAQ, comparison pages, and the AI recommendation tool, but the complete reading experience remains native-app first.
